Camp Kesher’s Alma Mater
To to the tune of "Joe Dimaggio's Card" (Journeys)
Lyrics by Aryeh Raskin
The doors close behind me
Camp Kesher I’ll miss you
Another summer’s gone away
And yet I will know that, I’m not really leavin’,
Cause inside my heart I will stay
And as I wave slowly
To all of my new friends
A tear drop escapes from my eyes
But something inside me, just doesn’t feel lonely
As I wave the last of goodbyes
(Chorus)
Since I won’t forget all the memories made
And all of the fun that I had
The outdoors, and Tents
And the swimming and Hiking
And flashlights and warm sleeping bags
The fun night activities and merit badges
And things that I’ve learned on my own
The friends that I’ve made and the counselors, unparalleled
Yes I will truly miss you
But Kesher I’ll come back to you
So I put my equipment
Back into storage
For the winter, the cold, and the rest
But I tell myself softly, that it’s only resting
For Kesher 2006!
The doors close behind me
Yes, Kesher I’ll miss you
Another summer’s gone away
But I’m counting each day till I come back to Kesher
To those Ruach filled fun summer days
Chorus!
