Exciting Outdoor Activities

Of course, the highlights of our program are all the exciting outdoor activities that will really knock your socks off! Race down wild stretches of the Delaware River, knowing how to elegantly paddle through the rapids. How about rappelling over a cliff or scaling a climbing wall? Build a 'wilderness survival' shelter in the woods, and sleep in it. Shoot a bow & arrow at the archery range! Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and camping along a 50 mile trail, passing beautiful lakes and streams. With overnight hikes, campfire kumzitzs, and plain old outdoor fun, we're sure you'll enjoy every day here with Kesher Scouting's one of a kind program.

Kesher Scouting's activities include:

Aquatics: Swimming, Lifesaving, Snorkeling, Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Whitewater Canoeing, Small Boat Sailing, and BSA Lifeguard.

Outdoor Sports: Rock-Climbing, Rappelling, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Backpacking, Personal Fitness and Archery.

Safety

In all of our rugged adventures, 'safety' is our number one concern. Our camp activities are all run under the auspices of a staff trained and certified by the Boy Scouts of America's National Camping School. These staff members assure that all equipment is safe, and that the boys understand all safety rules before they begin any activity. Boys are taught how to safely care for, and sharpen, wood tools. They are then taught how to safely use pocketknives to whittle wood and cut rope, and how to safely use axes and saws to prepare firewood and build pioneering projects. This focus on safety extends to all other areas such as campfire building, swimming, boating, mountain biking, rock climbing, and rappelling. Kesher Scouting takes the health and safety guidelines of the Boy Scouts of America very seriously. The Boy Scouts have a century of experience in designing safe outdoors programs.
